Since 1997 Virginia Hand has been designing custom gardens with
clients, bringing a strong design sense and love of plants to every
project. With a background in graphic design, she made a career turn
and entered the ornamental horticulture program at Edmonds Community
College to expand her plant knowledge. She now combines all those
skills, dividing her time between selected landscape projects and an
occasional garden book design.
Virginia Hand Design feels a garden should have year-round interest
starting with good structure. Plants fill in with form, texture and
foliage foremost; bloom color is a bonus. Every garden is a new
challenge. An opportunity for designer, artisan/contractor, and
client to collaborate and create a beautiful space that suits the
needs of the owner.
